About me
I've been painting portraits off and on since receiving my BFA in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1987. I enjoy the process of painting facial expressions and find children and animals to be the best subjects because they are honest, natural, and forgiving. I strive to keep colors bright and brush strokes loose to capture energy and emotion.
